I recently completed 2 training courses through the Erasmus+ mobility program — Learn & Lead: 1. Application of a LearnerCentered Approach (17.08 – 21.8) and 2. Fundamentals of Communication and New Leadership (24.8 – 28.08), both in Vukovar, Croatia.
I did not know what to expect going into these training programs, but as I reflect back on the 2 weeks I spent there it is clear to me that it was worth my time and effort.
A Strong Start
Trainings began with strong team-building activities and meetings which set up a positive environment for everyone participating. Our leaders/educators were informative and engaging and made sure everyone stayed on the same page all ERASMUS+ MOBILITY Erasmus+ Mobility in Vukovar Croatia, a learner-centered approach, and new foundations of communication and leadership for Finesse lecturers. From the Classroom to Everyday Life
During the course instructors provided plenty of activities and presentations that are helpful not only for teaching lessons in a classroom, but can be used in work environments and at home. Although I only returned to my classroom a few days ago I’ve already implemented things I have learned with this program and have seen a change in the way the students respond to these new ideas and approach.
„I’ve gained the knowledge to communicate more effectively and not only with my students but my peers, colleagues, and surprisingly with myself.“
I mentioned previously in my motivation letter that as an educator, the main focus of my work is to create a comfortable, engaging, and fun learning environment for my students and colleagues. This program has taught me just that and beyond.
What stays with me from Vukovar
- Concrete activities and approaches I can use directly in the classroom
- More effective communication with students, colleagues, and myself
- New friendships and contacts across the community of educators
